Week 7 - Instagram Jail

I was put in Instagram jail this week. Instagram I guess believes that some or all of my 79 followers were bought and paid for or that I’m paying for the average of 5 likes that my videos sometimes get. I can’t. Then, when it said, if this is wrong tell us, the tell us button wouldn’t work. I tried twice to send in other reports about how they were wrong and dumb but I’ve yet to hear back. They wouldn’t let me like, follow new people, or comment on anything for a week. It’s a huge joke because if anything, I’m blocking and reporting these spam accounts. I can’t tag Louisiana without getting absolutely bombarded by auto response spammy accounts wanting me to promote my videos on some spam page. It’s annoying. Some of these pages have almost 1 million followers…doubtful. Every time I post a story, adult content accounts with “18+ check out my bio” viewing them. I report and block all of them. But yes, Instagram, please come after me and my 79 followers and 7 likes that I apparently pay for. I guess this will go down as our first installment of #influencerproblems.

As a result, I felt like I shouldn’t post new videos if I couldn’t interact with what few followers I have. So I stopped posting on Instagram and Facebook. I posted a few new videos to TikTok but not the amount I had planned because solo parenting for the week had me sleep deprived and burnt out to the point of hot, hysterical tears. I have no idea how single parents do it.

Instagram drama aside, I did have a lovely dinner at Katie’s. I love their fries and pizza. For dessert with picked up some macarons from Sucré on Magazine which is one of my all time favorite dessert spots.

  • Daisy Jones and the Six! - 3 episodes in, moving a tad slow but I do love it.

  • Flicker in the Dark by Stacy Willingham - half way through this and I am loving it. I will say if I didn’t have a baby I would’ve read through it all in one sitting already.

Apples Never Fall by Liane Moriarty of Big Little Lies fame. Her books are always a fun time, I’m excited.

  • Have a Great Day! playlist on Spotify. I loooooove this playlist, I love it in the car, I love it when I’m cooking. It’s perfect.

  • Chicken and Rice Casserole by Creme de la Crumb - Just absolutely amazing and worth the effort. Tastes a million times better than the premade at the store. The butter toasted cornflakes take this to the next level. My note is to make extra and reserve some for leftovers!

  • Mighty Patches because…well, you know.

I’m fighting with Instagram right now.
