Week 6 - Now What?
This week was interesting. My viral TikTok keeps steadily pulling in a few likes and saves here and there. I’ve had 29 people do their own spin on my little video which has been so fun to watch. I love them all and have tried to leave comments on each of them.
I did indeed struggle with what to do after my raging success. My advice for fellow newbie influencers is to be prepared with a plan for in case you actually do go viral. I was so caught of guard, I froze. It took some days but I eventually got around to trying another trend. My mistake was not using the original trending sound bite that would’ve helped me get found. Instead, I uploaded it with the original sound ready to go but then no one really saw it. Then I tried the trendy Red Flags game everyone was doing and that one did okay. In a weird way I’m glad to get some distance so I can refocus myself.
Facebook is a ghost town. Talking to the void along with my husband and mother. It’s fine. Instagram is doing okay! I hate having to split my videos into 2 parts but maybe it makes me look more active to have 2 posts a day? Definitely having slower growth but I like to think slow and steady wins the race.
I had big plans for this week with field trips and Pride, but then I had a small family emergency and was forced to cancel our plans. Hoping this upcoming week will be better creatively and I can get out of my head a bit. We will see!
